Arushi (Aera) Rege is a queer, Indian-American poet who simultaneously attends senior year in high school. In their free time, they can be found reading good books, listening to R&B, and stressing over college. They tweet occasionally @academic (underscore) core and face the perils of instagram @aeranem (underscore) 26. They are the proud authors of BROWN GIRL EPIPHANY and exit wound (no point of entry). They are the EIC of nightshade lit, Bus Talk, and Draupadi Interviews & Micropress. They are the winner of the NSAL AZ's High School Poetry Prize and the Garden Party Collective's Flyover States Contest. Their works have been recognized with nominations to Best Small Fictions, the Scholastic Young Writer's Award with two Gold Keys and one honorable mention, as well as the Davidson Fellowship.
